Reviews of Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa

The breakfast was delicious and the Wi-Fi was fast and free throughout the hotel. The location was in close proximity to many popular attractions and there was ample parking available.
The room was dated and in need of updating. The air conditioning did not work properly and the staff was unresponsive to our complaints. The noise level from neighboring rooms and the street was unbearable at times.

Free parking and close to airport were convenient. Complimentary breakfast was a nice touch.
Room was outdated and had a musty smell. Bed was uncomfortable and pillows were lumpy. Not worth the price, disappointed with overall experience.

The hotel is situated close to the lively Sonoma Plaza area, providing numerous dining options. The spacious rooms come with indulging breakfast and spectacular views of the surrounding hills. The leisure facilities were adequate, and our family with two small kids loved the outdoor pool the most.
The maid service was not up to the mark, disappointing.

We loved the location, peacefulness, and safety measures of this hotel. Underground parking was very convenient and the staff was friendly and attentive. The hotel provided a PPE kit in our room, which was a thoughtful touch during COVID times. Additionally, the hotel's spa facility was amazing and the property's beautiful grounds were perfect for walking.
Almost perfect.

This hotel exceeded my expectations with its luxurious amenities and exceptional service. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and attended to my every need. The Spa & wellness centre was a highlight, with a range of treatments and experienced therapists. The outdoor swimming pool and sun terrace provided the perfect place to soak up the California sun. The treatment room and full body massage were incredible, leaving me feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. The private facilities, including the beautiful garden area, added an exclusive touch and made my stay even more memorable.
The only minor issue was with the restaurant, where the service was slow, causing some frustration. However, the quality of the food and drinks made up for it, making every dish worth the wait. my experience at this hotel was exceptional, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway.

Free bike tours through beautiful grounds. Indulgent bubble baths. Complimentary drinks at check-in.
Not ideal if you're looking to be in the heart of town. Too much outside noise if the windows are open.

This hotel offers a luxurious experience with exclusive amenities that fulfilled all our needs. The service exceeded our expectations; from the valet to the housekeeping staff, everyone was friendly, attentive, and competent. The Spa & Wellness Center was exceptional and provided a full range of services from massage to body wraps. The outdoor swimming pool was well-maintained, and the sun terrace and garden area were perfect for relaxing. The restaurant and bar/lounge area were outstanding, and the food was delicious, fresh, and of the highest quality. The private facilities were impressive and added to the luxurious experience.
The only minor issue we encountered was the sauna, which was temporarily out of order during our stay. Nonetheless, the health club and Jacuzzi were excellent alternatives. The hotel's location is also worth mentioning; it is conveniently located near many wine country attractions, making it an ideal destination for a local getaway. we highly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable luxurious experience.

The staff is very welcoming and available. We had dinner at the Santé restaurant, we enjoyed it. The spa is perfect for a moment of relaxation.
The mattress was not very comfortable (but maybe jet lag also played a role on my sleepless nights).

Having always had extraordinary experiences at Fairmonts (from Chateau Frotnenac in Quebec City to Fairmont Heliopolis in Cairo, Egypt), expectations were high. The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn didn't disappoint. The staff are so attentive and helpful. The Spa was well- maintained, clean and above all properly staffed. We took advantage of the bathhouse experience which was unique. All of the extras (I.E. complimentary wine in room, refreshments at the spa, etc...) were key to our leaving the hotel feeling pampered. Our favourite part of the hotel was Sante. It is a fine dining experience and worth every penny.
I was surprised by the Big 3 restaurant which is affiliated with the Fairmont and was identified to us as their "casual dining" experience. The atmosphere and decor were straight out of the 80s and the food was just ok. It was not impressive and there are far nicer bistro/restaurants in Sonoma City for a quick bite.

Very much outdated place!

The overall experience was disappointing. Quite frankly I can stay at the Inn at Sonoma for less for the same experience and service and be within walking distance of the square which is probably what I will do next time.

Good bed, good spa, fantastic service from all hotel staff. Sante had great service.
Wine tasting man was a bit rude. Bathroom was always freezing cold. Unfortunately, the crib was not as functional as we had hoped. Baby ended up having to sleep with us. Regretted not bringing our own portable crib. Sante's Restauraunt = 3.75/5 stars as the cuisine is wildly overpriced (but the convenience & service cannot be argued with)

Staying at F Sonoma was on our bucket list, but it didn't meet our expectations.Your staff was great, but the room was disappointing. The carpet was dirty and tile in the bathroom was too. It wasn't what I had expected.
